OVERALL SUMMARY


We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Private Security Trainer to join our team. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality training programs, ensuring participants meet industry standards and develop practical, real-world security skills. His primary base will be in our Kisumu regional office.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


Training processes and policies in line with ISO 9001-2025 requirements
Design, develop, and deliver engaging security training programs, including classroom-based and practical exercises.
Update training content to reflect current best practices and emerging threats.
Assess trainees' progress through evaluations, practical tests, and written examinations.
Carrying out assignment induction to the new security force and ensure that they are well versed with assignment instructions before deployment at the assignment
Carrying out training analysis
Proactively source for Recruits
Prepare monthly reports and share with the management
Undertake client liaison visits and file relevant reports
Conducting weekly inspection of the force and cleanliness of their workplace and submitting reports with comments and recommendations.
Undertake periodic supervision duties by ensuring that security officers in the assignments adhere to service level agreement (SLA) and sign the daily checklist and have it delivered to the management for further review and action
Ensuring that all those under supervision always maintain the high standards of discipline and tact
Carrying out assignment induction to the new security force and ensure that they are well versed with assignment instructions before handed over to the Senior Security officer.
Field intelligence and emerging technologies of the industry.
Plan for and attend Timam parades on a weekly basis and file a report with the management
Submission of carefully reviewed and complete recruits’ files to Human Resource Manager
Undertake training activities


EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:


Bachelor’s Degree in Security Criminology or Equivalent
Training of Trainers (TOT) Certification
Certified Security Trainer certificate or Equivalent
First Aid and CPR Certification
Valid certificate of good conduct
Driving/Riding license will be an added advantage


QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE


Proven experience as a private security trainer or in a related security role for at least 3 years.
Relevant certifications (e.g, PSRA).
In-depth knowledge of security operations, procedures, and industry regulations.
Strong instructional and public speaking skills.
Experience in designing training materials and delivering effective programs.
Ability to adapt to diverse learning styles and needs.
Physical fitness to demonstrate practical security techniques.


PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES


Military, law enforcement, or extensive private security background.
Familiarity with first aid, crisis management, and advanced security technology.
