In my 25 year sales career, weekly sales meetings are only valuable when they provide viable and usable tools to the team. Is there a service or... product the client is asking for, or receiving from a competitor? Can/when will you make it available to your client and prospect base? Too often, they turn into a pressure session of 'why aren't we selling more?' I used to get called on the carpet for not attending sales, because I was too busy dealing with the needs of my customers.  more

  • The impact of weekly can be both positive and negative. For the positive impact like someone said earlier, it improved communication and alignment... among team members, opportunity to share best practices and discuss challenges, better tracking of progress towards goals etc.

Negative impacts could be time away from selling activities, overemphasis on reporting rather than strategic discussion.

Hence, it is both positive and negative impact on sale force.
