Description

Conduct research on climate variability/change and agriculture.
Provide research support to Agrometeorology research projects as the affiliated postgraduate student.
Engage with relevant stakeholders within affiliated research projects.
Disseminate project results through peer-reviewed and popular publications, as well as presentations at conferences.
Collect, process and interpret data, and make internal project recommendations.

Requirements

BSc in Agrometeorology, Climate Science, Geography, Environmental Sciences, Ocean and Atmosphere Science, Water Science, Mathematics, Physics, or similar quantitative fields.
Applicants should be highly motivated graduates with a strong academic background.
Programming experience with Python, R or a similar language (or willingness to learn) is essential.
Must be willing to travel to farming communities and remote areas for intermediate periods.
Good communication skills (written and verbal).
A valid driver’s license (code 08/EB) would be an added advantage.
