The position
The School Nurse will be responsible for providing health services primarily to students, but also extended to staff to facilitate their optimal physical, mental, emotional and social wellbeing.



Duties & Responsibility

Provide comprehensive and high-quality clinical services including giving first aid, medicaments for minor ailments & health counseling. 
Make recommendations for specialized examination and coordinating hospital visits of sick students & staff. 
Document all required observations and vitals, prescribed treatment and procedures carried out on students. 
Coordinate and update the residential parents on the student’s health and wellbeing 
Assist in control of communicable diseases in the school community  
 Other ancillary duties as may be assigned.  

Qualifications

At least a diploma in Nursing from a recognized institution. 
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in similar position 
Must be registered by the Kenya Nursing Council 
Training in BLS /SCLS /PALS is an added advantage
