Job Specifications
Duties and responsibilities: - 

Cleaning of glassware and laboratory apparatus;
Maintenance of germplasm in greenhouses and indicator plants;
Sample preparation, cleaning, storage and disposal of lab waste;
Cleaning and maintenance of laboratory, greenhouses and associated environment;
Filing documents and office logistics; and
Maintenance and updating records in area of operation.

Persons Specification 
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: -

Certificate in Science lab technologist, laboratory technology or any other relevant certificate; and
Meet the provision of Chapter Six (6) of Constitution of Kenya.

Skills

Computer applications proficiency; 
Team player; 
Communication skills; and 
Interpersonal skills. 

Competencies

Creativity and ability to work in a team with minimum supervision; and 
Demonstrated results in work performance.
