This is the entry and training grade for this cadre. An officer at this level will work under the guidance of a senior officer.
Duties and Responsibilities
The duties and responsibilities of the officer will entail: -

Drive vehicles as authorized;
Carry out routine checks on the vehicles;
Detect and report malfunctioning of vehicles system;
Maintain records of vehicles;
Ensure security and safety of the vehicle;
Oversee safety of the passengers and or goods therein;
Maintain cleanliness of the vehicle.
Ensure adherence to or observations of traffic laws
Report any incidents to police and/or the office immediately they occur

Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: -

KCSE D+ or equivalent from a recognised institution;
Valid driving license
Trade Test for Drivers Grade III
First-Aid Certificate Course lasting not less than one (1) week from a recognized institution
Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution;
