Requirements for Appointment

Be a Kenyan Citizen;
Be in possession of a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent and relevant qualification from a recognized institution;
Master’s degree in a relevant field will be an added advantage;
Be Licensed by energy and petroleum regulatory authority;
Be Registered by Engineers Registration Board of Kenya as a graduate engineer or its relevant equivalent and in good standing;
Have Certificate in Computer Applications; and
Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.

Duties and Responsibilities Duties
The duties Principal Electrical Engineer will entail: -

Design of electrical/Electronic engineering services in government buildings and construction works;
Repair and maintenance of electrical /electronic installations in waterworks, offices, workshops, conference complexes and other county government facilities.
Any other duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor
Terms: Three (3) years contract renewable

Integrity Clearance

Successful applicants are expected to get clearance from the following bodies.
Kenya Revenue Authority(KRA)
Credit Reference Bureau(CRB)
Higher Education Loans Board(HELB)
Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission(EACC)
Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI)
For those with higher education certificates (degrees) from outside Kenya, a
letter of recognition of qualifications from the Commission of University Education.
