Position Summary
Vista Credit Partners (“VCP”), the credit investment platform of Vista Equity Partners, is seeking to hire a finance professional to assist in the day-to-day management and oversight of related accounting and financial reporting requirements pertaining to VCP’s Business Development Company (“BDC”) – Vista Credit Strategic Lending Corp (“VCSL”). The individual will be part of the VCP Finance team and report to the Finance Senior Manager of the BDC.
As required, the candidate will have the opportunity to contribute across the VCP platform and assist in the execution of VCP Finance related responsibilities.
This role is based in New York, NY and is for an immediate start.
Responsibilities
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES – FUND ACCOUNTING/FINANCIAL REPORTING
- Assist in implementation and execution of processes and procedures surrounding all aspects of accounting, financial reporting, and operational requirements of VCP’s BDC.
- Assist in execution, review and implementation of monitoring controls, including SOX compliance, over accounting & operational deliverables, including the review of all monthly, quarterly and annual accounting packages, and public filings with the Fund Admin of the BDC.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly financial SEC reporting requirements (10Q and 10K), in adherence with GAAP and required footnote disclosures, including the review and the integration of the deliverables from the Fund Admin of the BDC.
- Assist VCP Operations and help liaise as a member of the VCP Finance team with bank and trade counterparties for deal execution, review fund flows and settlement documentation, assist with KYC/AML procedures, as well as confirming principal & interest payments, and requirements surrounding leverage facility reporting as required. Assist with maintaining and tracking BDC liquidity needs pertaining to deal flow pipeline needs.
- Assist with investor relations requests for existing and prospective investors, including ad-hoc reporting, performance calculations, and operational due diligence inquiries.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES – INVESTOR SERVICING AND FUND OPERATIONS
- Support ongoing subscription, redemption, and transfer activity, including review of documentation and coordination with Transfer Agent.
- Assist in responding to investor and advisor inquiries related to subscriptions, redemptions, account activity, fund terms, and reporting.
- Review and validate work-product prepared by Fund Administrator and Transfer Agent, including investor statements, capital account records, and transaction reports.
- Perform reconciliations between internal systems, Administrator records, and Transfer Agent shareholder registers.
PROCESS EVALUATION & AUTOMATION
- Identify opportunities to streamline and automate transfer agency reconciliations and NAV reviews.
- Partner with VCP Finance and Finance Technology teams to synergize across the VCP platform.
- Leverage advanced Excel capabilities and AI tools to automate recurring workflows
- Support development of lightweight internal tools and automation solutions that improve data accuracy and reporting speed
- Evaluate emerging AI-enabled solutions and recommend practical applications within finance workflows
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in Fund Accounting or related field (Credit, Venture Debt, or Private Equity experience is preferred). BDC specific experience preferred.
- BS/BA degree in Finance or Accounting preferred.
- Relevant professional experience including public accounting, fund accounting, public company reporting in the fixed income or alternative asset management, including BDC, REIT, Closed-End and/or Open-Ended structures.
- Strong finance, accounting, and investment operations skills, including system/technology skills and proficient to excellent in– Microsoft© Office Suite and AI tools such as Claude and ChatGPT.
- Experience in working with Fund Administrators, Bank Loan Administrators, and/or Transfer Agents
- Detail oriented self-starter with strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Stong teamwork skills and able to coordinate across multiple business functions.
The annualized base pay range for this role is expected to be between $117,000 – $132,000. Actual compensation will vary based on experience, expertise, and geographic location. Additional components include annual performance-based bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package.
