Requirements for Appointment

For appointment to this grade, an officer must have: -


Served in the grade of senior assistant director of livestock production for a minimumperiod of three years
Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines; animal science, animal production, agriculture, apiculture, food science and technology, agribusiness, range management, natural resources management, livestock/agricultural economics, dairy technologyoragriculture education from recognized institution.
Masters in the following disciplines; animal science, animal production, agriculture, apiculture, food science and technology, agribusiness, range management, natural
resources management, livestock/agricultural economics, dairy technology or agricultureeducation from recognized institution.
Certificate in strategic leadership development programme lasting not less than six(6) weeks from recognized institutionCertificate in computer application from recognized institution
Demonstrated a thorough understanding of national /county goals policies and development objectives and ability to translate them in to trade development projects
