Reporting to the Managing Director, this position ensures that all aspects of URC’s processes, activities, outputs adhere to requirements SAFETY, HEALTH AND ENVIRONMENT MANUAL, and all the relevant laws and regulations on work place safety, and environmental compliance in Uganda. Position also ensures adherence to all aspects of safety and security are adhered to as per relevant security protocols and provisions.

Communicate to staff the provision of Safety, Health and Environment Manual
Provide professional guidance and proactive follow up on all Safety, Health, and Environment Manual.
Promote Safety, Health and Environment requirements in all URC work streams and processes
Ensure that all URC assets, sites, estates and facilities are provided with, meet and continue to observe all the requisite Safety, Health and Environment requirements in line with the existing laws, regulations in Uganda.
Develop and implement strategies and plans for improvement and mainstreaming of Safety, health and Environment
Provide regular and timely reports on all performance expectation on all URC portfolio in terms in meeting all Safety, Health and Environment requirements
Arrange for and ensure appropriate training is provided to all staff as per laws and regulations in Uganda and in conformance to the SHE manuals.
Ensure all environmental and social safeguards are planned, and implemented on projects and other initiatives as the case may be.
