Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled and creative Design Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing products and systems from concept through to production. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality, and testing, to ensure the successful execution of product designs.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Design:


Create detailed designs and 3D models using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA).
Develop specifications, schematics, and technical drawings for new products or systems.
Ensure designs meet the required technical, safety, and regulatory standards.


Prototyping & Testing:


Build and test prototypes to validate design concepts.
Perform testing and analysis to assess functionality, performance, and reliability.
Iterate and refine designs based on testing results and feedback.


Collaboration:


Work closely with other engineers, product managers, and designers to refine designs and meet project objectives.
Provide technical support during the manufacturing process to ensure designs are correctly implemented.


Problem-Solving:


Identify and troubleshoot design issues, offering creative solutions to problems encountered during the design and development process.
Conduct feasibility studies to determine the practicality and viability of design concepts.


Documentation:


Maintain detailed design records, change logs, and design specifications.
Produce clear and concise reports and presentations to communicate design concepts and progress to stakeholders.


Continuous Improvement:


Stay current on industry trends, new materials, and advanced design techniques.
Suggest improvements to existing products and processes to increase efficiency and performance.


Required Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Product Design, or related field (or equivalent work experience).

Experience:


Proven experience in a design engineering role, preferably in [specific industry, e.g., automotive, electronics, manufacturing].
Experience with CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA, or similar).
Familiarity with product lifecycle management (PLM) tools is a plus.
Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and design for manufacturability (DFM).
