YOU'LL GET TO...

Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify issues with vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical components.
Perform repairs on vehicles, including replacing damaged or worn parts, and conducting major overhauls and rebuilding tasks.
Conduct routine maintenance services, such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid level checks.
Perform thorough vehicle inspections to ensure all systems are functioning correctly and safely.
Provide detailed explanations of required repairs, and offer maintenance advice.
Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including parts used and labor time.
Keep tools and equipment in good working condition and ensure the workshop is clean and organized.
Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques through ongoing training and professional development.
Maintain equipment and work area, ensuring cleanliness and proper functioning of tools.
Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines, ensuring a safe working environment.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

OND in Mechanical engineering or vocational training certification in automotive repair (preferred).
Relevant certifications or training in automotive repair (preferred).
5 years+ experience as an Auto Mechanic or in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of automotive systems and repair techniques.
Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams.
Good physical stamina and the ability to perform manual labor.
Ability to work independently and also part of a team.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
