JOB DESCRIPTION:
As Contract Farming Officer, you will be responsible for the communications and promotion of our contract farming programs.
Your main duties and responsibilities are:

Promote our contract farming program with NGOs, Farmers Cooperatives, local government authorities, etc.
Promote our contract farming program on our website and social media platforms.
Coordinate with the agricultural team on crop monitoring and quality checking with the contract farmers
Coordinate with the agricultural team on training to contract farmers
Coordinate with the agricultural team and the logistics team on the transport of harvested crops to our processing site
Actively engage with potential and existing contract farmers.
Facilitate meetings and workshops to educate farmers about the benefits and requirements of the contract farming program.
Oversee the signing and management of contracts with farmers.
Ensure that contract terms and conditions are clearly communicated and understood by both parties.
Maintain comprehensive records of contract farmers, including their contact information, acreage, and crop types.
Regularly update and manage the contract farmer database.
Foster positive relationships with the local community and relevant stakeholders
Gather feedback from contract farmers regarding their experiences with the program.
Use this feedback to improve program efficiency and farmer satisfaction.
Generate regular reports on program performance, including farmer engagement, crop quality, and compliance.
Participate in community development initiatives that align with the organization's goals.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
A suitable candidate must possess;

Minimum 3yrs proven cognate experience
Deep knowledge of agricultural supply management
Understanding of quality standards and agricultural related trends
Knowledge of performance evaluation and budgeting concepts
Proficient in MS Office and ERP software
Outstanding (written and spoken) communication ability
Excellent organizational and contract management skills
Attention to detail
Hands on marketing, sales, procurement and negotiation experience
Strong decision-making skills and a results-driven approach
Minimum BSc/HND in Agricultural Economics, Agro-Business Management/Marketing, Procurement and supply chain management
