Purpose of the job:
This role is responsible for provision of strategic oversight of the Supply Chain Management function in the Authority as provided for by the Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Act 2015.
 Key Responsibilities of the job: 

Coordinating on resource and capacity planning for the required Supply Chain Management skills in the
Development and control of Supply Chain Management policies, procedures and process in line with Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Act
Review and consolidate the Annual Procurement and Disposal Plans prior to KRA Management and Board of Directors approval.
Identification and implementation of cost saving and cost reduction opportunities
Ensure effective inventory management and
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on matters that relate to Supply Chain Management
Provide regular reports and procurement related advice to the KRA Management and Board of
Drive initiatives to improve ethics, culture and facilitate change management in the
Facilitate implementation of corporate initiatives in the Division: Audit, Integrity, QMS and Risk

The job holder should possess the following minimum qualifications:
Academic qualification:

A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field from a recognized
A master’s degree in a relevant field is an added

 Professional qualification / Membership to Professional Bodies:

Professional Level Diploma MCIPS(UK) / CPSP-K (Kenya) or equivalent
Member and Licensed Practitioner KISM (Kenya Institute of Supplies Management

 Previous relevant work experience required:

Minimum of 10 years work experience in Supply Chain Management practice with at least five (5) years at a senior management level in a comparable organization
