Job Description
• Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks • Responding to service issues and requests in a timely manner • Troubleshooting system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults • Performing electrical safety checks on computer equipment • Setting up accounts for staff, ensuring that they know how to log in • Solving password problems • Talking to clients and computer users to determine the nature of any problems they encounter • Conducting regular checks on network and data security • Identifying and acting on opportunities to improve and update software and systems • Participating in meetings with IT staff to discuss possible improvements to customer service • Developing and maintaining local networks in ways that optimize performance • Conducting regular system audits
Qualification Required & Experience
• Proven experience as an IT Technician or relevant position • Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills • In-depth understanding of diverse computer systems and networks • Good knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles • Excellent communication ability • HND or higher
