Key Responsibilities


Lead transparent and competitive recruitment and selection processes.
Drive performance management, staff capacity building, and retention initiatives.
Provide strategic HR and administration advisory to management and staff.
Ensure compliance with labour laws, HR policies, and organizational procedures.
Oversee compensation, benefits, payroll, and HR systems.
Support staff development, training, and career growth.
Manage employee relations, grievance mechanisms, and conflict resolution.
Promote organizational culture, health & safety, and staff wellbeing.
Lead HR strategy formulation aligned with GBM’s overall strategy.
Supervise and mentor the HR & Administration team.


Requirements


Bachelor’s degree in HR Management, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree is an added advantage).
Membership with IHRM or another relevant professional body (preferred).
At least 5 years’ proven experience in a similar role, ideally in NGOs or international organizations.
Strong knowledge of HR best practices, Kenyan labour laws, and compliance standards.
Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, with sensitivity to cultural diversity.
Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, and gender equality.
Ability to work strategically, manage change, and travel locally/regionally when required.
