Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Preparation & make ready for mobilization of pre-commissioning & hydro test material as per the list which is provided by the project engineer.
Maintenance of mechanical instruments & equipment like pumps, compressors, Dryers, Nitrogen vaporizers, nitrogen tanks & vacuum drying pumps, etc.
Performing trial runs & carrying out performance tests of equipment and instruments at the yard before mobilization to the site.
Coordinate with mechanical engineer regarding day-to-day activities and follows his instructions and carry out the field jobs safely.
Handling power tools RCD, air compressor, and power pack.
Leading the rigging team, pump operator, and mechanic at the project on-site.
Execute all mechanical activities at the site within the stipulated project time period.
Supervising the site activities at the site and teaching the junior technician regarding pre-comm activity.
Operating the instruments and making the connection and fittings for testing operation.
Carry out all operations related to cleaning, gauging, hydro testing and leak testing, nitrogen purging, dewatering, swabbing, and drying oil and gas subsea pipelines and cross-country pipelines.
Coordinate with PTW before every activity starts.
Follow all safety precautions to avoid incidents and accidents at the site for personnel & equipment.
Project executed in GULF and MARINE. environment.
Update all the instruments and inform the supervisor of any malfunction of the instruments.
During hydro testing follow the instructions from the HT engineer to control the rate of pressurization.
Prepare proper hose connection for pressurization and depressurization and secure the hose.
Assist the rigging team with the installation of the pigs to the test header.
Aware of launching the different types of pigs and aware of retrieval of the pigs from the temporary pigging header.
