The following are the highlights of my experirnce;
• Calculating doses and administering chemotherapeutic drugs, biotherapy and blood products treatment in accordance with standard protocols
• Observe strict safety measures, including checking medication dosages before administration to patients.
• Prioritize and adjust daily tasks as necessary in alignment with patients’ needs and unit demands, working collaboratively and effectively with fellow nursing team members.
• Explaining the treatments procedures and outcome, treatment side effects and answering questions.
• Monitor diet, physical activity, behaviors and other patient factors to assess condition and adjust treatment plans together with the medical team.
• Start and maintain peripheral IVS, implanted ports, and PICC lines, assist physicians in performing various procedures including bone marrow biopsies.
• Respond to emergency situations with speed, expertise and level headed approaches to provide optimal care, support and lifesaving interventions.
• Health educating patients.
• Accessing an implanted port in a sterile manner and assess site for abnormalities or signs of infections.
• Managing total pain for patients (physical, psychological, spiritual and social pain).
• Monitoring vital signs of patients.
• Assessing patients and treating issues related to cancer.
• Coordinating the patient’s care with all other healthcare provider, and proper documentation of patient charts
