Duties and responsibilities: - 

Developing and updating file index;
Receiving and filing of records and information;
Making data entries;
Storing and retrieving records and information;
Tracking of files and documents;
Indexing, profiling and distribution of memos;
Circulating of files and documents;
Receiving, filing, retrieving and dispatching of records and information.

Persons Specification 
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: -

Higher National Diploma/Diploma in any of the following field: Library and Information Science, or Records and Information Technology or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
Meets requirements of the Chapter six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya.

Skills

Proficiency in computer applications; 
Organizational skills 
Communication skills; and 
Administrative skills 
Analytical skills and keen to details. 

Competencies

Ability to work under pressure; 
Ability to work independently and in a team; 
Ability to multi-task and prioritize work; 
Experience in document indexing; 
Demonstrated experience in Filing.
