  • Get into procurement opportunities. Contact sbdc consultant go on sba.gov find the closest sbdc or score representative. Get on their calendar don't... call. Work on your capability statement and know your naics codes. If you don't know Google or discuss with the consultant. What area of architecture do you want to do? What state? What radius or territory? See what projects are being done and by whom?  more

In short, positioning your services... adjacent to related services or integral within a service network or value chain like commercial and residential construction next to related trades could be critical. You may also be able to acquire a dedicated client or two that uses your services exclusively -- like home builders or a mini mall developer if those markets are of interest. Those starting out may find it easier to start with contractors engaged in commercial and residential renovations.  more
