Job Description

Assist in basic food preparation tasks, such as chopping vegetables, portioning ingredients, and assembling dishes.
Follow recipes and guidelines provided by the chef or kitchen supervisor to ensure consistent quality.
Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, and pans, clean kitchen equipment, countertops, and work areas to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
Sweep and mop floors regularly to keep the kitchen area tidy.
Receive and unpack deliveries of food supplies, properly store food items in designated areas, adhering to food safety standards.
Maintain the organization and cleanliness of storage areas, refrigerators, and freezers.
Label and date food items appropriately to prevent spoilage and ensure freshness.
Properly dispose of kitchen waste, including food scraps and packaging materials, following waste management guidelines.
Separate recyclable materials and assist in recycling efforts.
Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and storage procedures.
Follow established sanitation practices and guidelines to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Report any safety hazards or incidents to the kitchen supervisor immediately.
Assist chefs and cooks during meal preparation, as directed.
Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth workflow and timely service.
Must reside within the Abule-Egba to Toll-gate Axis and its environs.
