ROLE OVERVIEW
The Program Manager will be responsible for the overall planning, execution, and monitoring of projects within the Foundation. This role requires a visionary leader who can develop and implement systems and
structures to improve efficiency, accountability, and impact. The ideal candidate must have at least 3 years of experience in program management, team coordination, and stakeholder engagement within the
development or nonprofit sector.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Programme Design, Implementation & Management
Develop and execute comprehensive strategies for the Foundation’s core programs in Education, Sports, Youth Empowerment, and Poverty Alleviation.
Oversee all project phases, including concept development, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting.
Design impact-driven initiatives that align with the Foundation’s mission and long-term goals.
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet set objectives.
Organisational Structure & Systems Development
Establish and optimize internal structures, workflows, and policies to enhance operational efficiency.
Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) for program planning, execution, and reporting.
Implement monitoring and evaluation (M&E) frameworks to track project effectiveness.
Strengthen governance processes to enhance transparency and accountability.
Staff & Team Coordination
Lead, supervise, and mentor program staff, ensuring a high-performing and motivated team.
Organize regular team meetings, capacity-building sessions, and performance reviews.
Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and professionalism within the team.
Stakeholder Engagement & Partnership Development
Establish and maintain strong relationships with government agencies, donors, corporate sponsors, NGOs, and community leaders.
Represent the Foundation in strategic discussions, conferences, and forums.
Seek and manage funding opportunities to expand the Foundation’s reach and impact.
Budget & Financial Oversight
Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
Work closely with the finance team to track expenditures, maintain
financial integrity, and prepare donor reports.
Communication, Visibility & Reporting
Prepare and present impact reports, proposals, and updates to
management and stakeholders.
Oversee the creation of content for newsletters, social media, and
press releases to enhance the Foundation’s visibility.
Ensure the Foundation’s work is well-documented and promoted to attract more support.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Sciences, International
Development, Nonprofit Management, Public Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years experience in program management, preferably
within the nonprofit, humanitarian, or social impact sectors.
Proven experience in developing structures and systems within an organization.
Strong background in project planning, monitoring & evaluation, stakeholder engagement, and financial management.
