Responsibilities


Verify pipeline routing and geotechnical consideration, and approve wall thickness calculations and material specifications
Validate crossing designs and review stress analysis reports
Approve welding and field joint coating specifications and verify cathodic protection system/FOCC design.
Review pipe mill test certificates and coating specifications and validate material traceability systems.
Monitor pipe laying and welding operations, and verify non-destructive testing procedures
Approve hydrostatic testing procedures and validate final pipeline alignment sheets
Review pipeline integrity management system
Ensure compliance with API, ASME and NMDPRA standards and coordinate with other engineering disciplines
Shall verify non-destructive testing procedures, review O&M manuals for process systems and document process engineering best practices


Job Requirements


BSc/BEng in Mechanical/Chemical/Pipeline Engineering
10+ years pipeline engineering
3+ major pipeline projects 
Nigerian onshore project experience
COREN registration (preferred)
Process Safety Management certification
Nigerian content compliance experience
API 1169 (Pipeline Construction) and NACE CP Level 2 (cathodic protection)
AWS/CWI (welding inspection)
Proficiency in relevant engineering software and Knowledge of Nigerian oil/gas regulations
