Duties and Responsibilities

This is the entry and training grade for this cadre. An officer at this level will work under the guidance of a senior officer. Specific duties and responsibilities

Carrying out feasibility studies;
Planning and designing water supply and supply and sewerage infrastructure;
Carrying out research activities in various aspects of water, sewerage and hydraulic systems;
Assisting in developing project proposals;
Assisting in preparation of drawings, cost estimates, and Bill of Quantities for water and sanitation projects;
In charge of project implementation as a project Engineer and site supervision;
Assist in preparation of technical andproject progress reports from time to time;
Assist in evaluating tenders for works projects;
Oversee management of entrusted County Resources
Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

Requirements for appointment

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must: -

Be in possession of a Bachelor Degree in Civil or Water Engineering from a recognized institution;
Have Proficiency in computer applications skills;
Must be a graduate Engineer.
