Role Purpose:


The Mechanic will be responsible for repairing, servicing, and maintaining factory machines to ensure continuous and efficient garment production.


Key Responsibilities:


Diagnose and repair mechanical issues in sewing machines, cutting machines, embroidery machines, printing machines, boilers, compressors, and other production equipment.
Perform preventive maintenance to reduce machine downtime and extend equipment life.
Assist in installation, setup, and alignment of new machines.
Fabricate, adjust, and replace worn-out parts when necessary.
Maintain maintenance logs and report recurring issues to management.
Ensure compliance with safety standards during machine handling and repairs.


Qualifications & Skills:


Diploma/Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Plant Maintenance, or related field.
3+ years’ experience as a mechanic in manufacturing (garment/textile industry preferred).
Hands-on experience with industrial sewing and garment production machines.
Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to read technical manuals and drawings.
Team player with good communication skills.


Work Conditions:


Factory-based role with exposure to noise, dust, and heat.
May require overtime or weekend shifts for urgent breakdowns.
