TIS is seeking to recruit School Chef. The candidates must have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrate high levels of integrity & professional ethics and possess innate love for the students. 

Duties and Responsibilities:


Plan weekly menus that meet nutritional guidelines and accommodate various dietary restrictions (e.g., allergies, religious considerations).
Prepare and cook meals for breakfast, lunch, and snacks, ensuring high quality and presentation standards.
Manage kitchen inventory, ordering supplies, and maintaining stock levels within budgetary constraints.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food hygiene practices and kitchen cleanliness.
Supervise kitchen and cleaning staff, providing guidance and training as needed.
Collaborate with nutritionists and school administration to promote nutrition education and healthy eating habits among students.
Participate in school events and special functions requiring catering services.
Maintain records of meal counts, inventory, and kitchen operations.
Any other duties assigned


Qualifications Knowledge and Experience:


Diploma in Culinary Arts or a related hospitality management qualification
Proven experience as a chef or cook, preferably in a school or institutional setting.
Ability to cook tasty, nutritious food for children
Knowledge of nutrition and dietary requirements, especially for children.
Certification in food handling and safety
Strong organizational and leadership skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Creativity in menu planning and food presentation.
Commitment to promoting health and wellness within a school community.
