Basic Salary Scale: Ksh. 32,700 – 42,690 p.m. (Job Group ‘J’) Allowances as per SRC Circulars attached to the position.

For appointment to this position, a candidate must have:

Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following disciplines - Environmental sciences, Natural Resource Management, Environmental Education, Environmental Health Sciences, Environmental Planning and Management, Environmental Horticulture and Landscaping, Environmental law, Environmental Studies and Community Resource Conservation, Forestry, Bio- Resource Conservation and Management, Botany, Chemistry, Climate Change and Development, Conservation Biology, Disaster Mitigation and Sustainable Development, Earth Science with information Technology, Ecology, Environmental and Bio-system Engineering, Environmental Chemistry, Geography, Geo- information Science, Land Resource Planning and Management of Agro-Ecosystem and Environment, Range Management, Waste Management, Water Resource and Environment, Wildlife Management or Zoology from a recognized institution; and
Certificate in Computer Applications from a recognized institution.

Duties and Responsibilities

An Officer at this level will work under the guidance of a senior officer. Duties and responsibilities will entail:

Collecting and collating data and information related to environment and natural resource;
Participating in awareness creation and advocacy: and writing periodic reports.
