The successful candidate will fill in the above position:


Studying and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine welding requirements.
Planning welding processes based on the design and material specifications.
Performing welding tasks using techniques such as arc welding, MIG welding, TIG welding, and gas welding.
Welding metal components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
Cutting, shaping, and preparing metal pieces for welding using tools like grinders, cutters, and drills.
Cleaning and inspecting metal surfaces to ensure proper welding conditions.
Inspecting welded joints for accuracy, strength, and structural integrity.
Identifying and repairing defects in welds, such as cracks or voids.
Ensuring compliance with safety standards and welding codes.
Maintaining and repairing welding equipment and tools to ensure optimal performance.
Reporting any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to supervisors


Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:


Artisan certificate in welding and Fabrication.
Crafts certificate in Mechanical Engineering.
Certification in welding techniques is an added advantage.
Knowledge of Boilers, Steam Works, and Incinerators is an added advantage
