Job Summary:


The Security Officer is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of passengers, staff, company assets, and facilities. This includes monitoring company premises, preventing security breaches, ensuring compliance with security protocols, and responding to incidents effectively.


Key Responsibilities:

Passenger and Staff Safety:


Monitor entry and exit points at terminals, offices, and vehicle depots.
Conduct security checks on passengers, luggage, and company vehicles as required.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and emergency procedures.


Asset Protection:


Safeguard company property, including buses, terminals, and equipment, from theft and vandalism.
Monitor surveillance cameras and patrol company premises regularly.


Incident Response:


Respond promptly to security incidents, disturbances, or emergencies.
Assist in handling conflicts or unruly passengers professionally.
Report all security incidents, breaches, or suspicious activities to management.


Compliance and Documentation:


Ensure adherence to company security policies and procedures.
Maintain detailed records of daily security operations, incidents, and reports.


Collaboration with Law Enforcement:


Work with police and other security agencies when necessary.
Assist in investigations involving security-related matters.


Customer Service and Professional Conduct:


Provide assistance and guidance to passengers regarding security measures.
Maintain a professional and approachable attitude while enforcing security protocols.


Qualifications and Skills:


Minimum of SSCE, OND, or equivalent.
Previous experience as a security officer, preferably in transportation or logistics.
Knowledge of security protocols and emergency response procedures.
Ability to handle security equipment (CCTV, radio communication, etc.).
Strong observational and problem-solving skills.
Physical fitness and the ability to stand for extended periods.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
