Job Summary
• Welcome customers by greeting them when they come in • Process all money transactions in the company • Receive all forms of payment such as money, cheques, credit cards etc. • Check and evaluate daily cash accounts • Give coaching and assistance to new Cashiers • Maintain daily, weekly and monthly transaction reports • Issue customers receipts, refunds and credits • Check and Count cash in money drawer at the start of shifts to confirm that amounts are correct as recorded • Direct customers to where to find specific goods • Keep records of periodic reports and spreadsheets • Help out with stocking shelves, rotating merchandise and marking costs • Guarantee management of daily money accounts • Keep periodic transaction reports • Keep checkout areas clean and orderly • Outline costs of products and services and determine bills with the use of calculators and money registers.
Qualification Required & Experience
• HND or degree • Customer service or cashier experience. • Ability to handle transactions accurately and responsibly. • High level of energy with strong customer service skills. • Basic math and computer skills. • Attention to detail. • Helpful, courteous approach to resolving complaints.
