Duties and Responsibilities


Detailed design, supervision of construction and maintenance of classified and unclassified roads
Design bridges and other drainage structures
Preparation of tender documents
Any other duties assigned by supervisor from time to time.


Requirements for Appointment

For appointment to the position, a candidate must;


Be a Kenyan citizen
Have a Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or its equivalent qualification from a recognized university
Be registered by Engineers Registration Board of Kenya (ERB)
Valid Practicing License from the Engineers Registration Board of Kenya
Corporate membership with the Institute of Engineers of Kenya (IEK).
Attended a Project Development and Management Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution
Served in the grade of Assistant Engineer I or comparable and relevant position in the public service for at least three (3) years.
Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results
