Job Purpose:
This position is responsible for training music club students and offering professional guidance to them as they prepare for competitions and other presentations.
Main Duties and Responsibilities

Writing scripts and training students on music, dance, and elocutions
Assess students’ abilities in music performance by monitoring them
Scouting and tapping music talent amongst the students
Plan and prepare music training programs
Counseling and guiding students on the proficiency of the music profession
Composing, arranging, conducting, and directing the music during university events and outside the university at the Kenya Universities Performing Arts Associations (KUPAA)
Mentoring and enforcing discipline to music students
Working together with the marketing department towards the growth of the university through music presentations and performances
Any other duty(s) as may be assigned to you by management from time to time.

Qualifications and Experience

Relevant College Diploma or Certificate
Substantive experience in scripting music items
Proven experience in training university students for music festivals up to the national level, preferably having certification in music and theatre studies
Experience working in a University set up
