Harun is a certified Environmental Lead Expert by NEMA-Kenya, a member of Environment Institute of Kenya and a versatile professional with over 13 years of experience in business development, relationship management, social risk and sustainability management, environmental impact assessment and auditing. He has demonstrated in-depth understanding of Corporate Sustainability Agenda, integration of Social and Environmental Management systems into the business processes, Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), climate change adaptation and mitigation measures.
Previously, he was actively involved in the designing, development, and implementation of KCB Group Sustainability Strategy. He has demonstrated success in streamlining existing operations, turning around non-compliant functions, and envisioning new concepts; future trends in sustainability. He is a result-oriented person with exposure to staff training, green lending, sustainability strategic planning and reporting according to GRI standards as well as other developmental partners such as International Finance Corporation (IFC) Performance standards. He led to successful accreditation of KCB Bank Kenya by Green Climate Fund.
