DescriptionThe Director of Community Outreach & Science Education will oversee OIST's extensive portfolio of science education and public engagement programs while developing strategic recommendations for enhanced programs and structures to maximize outreach effectiveness and impact. Reporting to the Executive Vice President for Technology Development, Innovation, and Outreach, the Director will play a key role in advancing one of OIST's seven strategic mission areas as outlined in the University's 2024-2029 Strategic Plan (https://www.oist.jp/oist-publications-reports). This position requires both operational excellence in managing current programs and strategic vision in evaluating and recommending enhancements to strengthen OIST's outreach capabilities and community impact.
