Job Description


The Senior BIM Modeller is a critical role within our organization, responsible for applying advanced knowledge and expertise to complex rail track design projects. This position demands a high level of proficiency in industry-standard software and a deep understanding of BIM principles.


Key responsibilities include:


Demonstrate mastery of Autodesk AutoCAD, Autodesk Civil 3D, and/or Bentley MicroStation, OpenRail Designer or equivalent software to create sophisticated 3D models and 2D drawings with minimal supervision.
Utilize extensive knowledge to develop and implement innovative solutions for complex problems within rail track design projects.
Independently manage and execute BIM-related tasks while collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project success.
Conduct thorough analyses and apply advanced problem-solving techniques to address atypical challenges within the realm of rail track design and BIM implementation.
Contribute significantly to the development and refinement of BIM standards, best practices, and methodologies within the organization.
Mentor junior team members in BIM techniques and rail track design principles, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
Rigorously adhere to and promote industry standards, ensuring the highest level of quality and accuracy in all BIM deliverables.
Proactively identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvements in BIM workflows.
Participate in client meetings and presentations, articulating complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, continuously enhancing personal expertise and contributing to the organization's competitive edge in the rail track design sector.


Qualifications:


Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field
3+ years of experience with modeling software in an architectural or engineering environment
Advanced proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD, Autodesk Civil 3D, and/or Bentley MicroStation, OpenRail Designer or similar software
Demonstrated experience in BIM (Building Information Modeling) for rail track design projects
Strong understanding of rail track design principles and standards
Excellent 3D modeling and 2D drafting skills
Proficiency in creating and managing BIM content libraries
Experience with clash detection and coordination in multi-disciplinary projects
Knowledge of industry standards and best practices for BIM implementation
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision
Familiarity with project management software and methodologies
Willingness to stay updated with the latest BIM technologies and industry trends


Preferred Qualifications:


Professional certification in BIM (e.g., Autodesk Certified Professional)
Experience with parametric modeling and computational design
Knowledge of GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and its integration with BIM
Familiarity with programming languages (e.g., Python) for automation in BIM workflows
