Job Summary


The Procurement Officer is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing goods and services required by the organization. 
The role ensures cost-effectiveness, timely delivery, and compliance with company policies and procurement regulations.


Key Responsibilities


Source reliable suppliers and vendors for quality goods and services at competitive prices.
Prepare purchase orders and review requisitions for goods and services.
Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, delivery, and pricing.
Negotiate contracts, terms, and timelines with vendors.
Monitor and forecast procurement needs to avoid stock-outs or overstocking.
Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Maintain accurate procurement records and reports for auditing purposes.
Collaborate with internal departments to understand procurement requirements.
Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
Handle invoice reconciliation and coordinate with the finance department for timely payments.


Requirements


Bachelor's Degree in Procurement, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
2 - 3 years of experience in procurement or supply chain.
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and procurement software.
Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
Knowledge of procurement laws and vendor management best practices.
