Ada Rural Bank PLC seeks to employ suitably qualified persons for the following position: Finance Manager
Job Summary
• The Head of Finance will play a critical role in guiding the financial direction of the bank • Reporting directly to the CEO, this position will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities, including accounting, reporting, budgeting and forecasting • The ideal person will have a strategic mindset, with the ability to provide insights that drive the bank's financial performance and growth
Core Job Responsibilities
• Lead and coordinate the development of the bank's strategy and develop and manage the resulting strategic initiatives in line with bank's vision • Initiate, co-ordinate and consolidate the preparation of the bank's budgets reviews and targets • Monitor the rollout and implementation of departmental strategic plans assessing against targets and report on progress as and when required • Primary responsibility for implementing and maintaining internal financial controls assuring the completeness and accuracy of information contained in the bank's financial systems • Responsible for preparation of reconciliation statements for the bank's accounts with ARB Apex Bank Plc and other accounts held by the Bank • Manage and control the monthly management reporting process including explanation of variances and trends to management and board in a timely manner • Manage and supervise the preparation and submission of the bank's statutory reports and returns to ARB Apex Bank, BOG, GRA, SSNIT and other relevant regulatory bodies in a timely manner • Payment of employee emoluments and other approved expenses as advised by the HR department • Manage the liquidity of the bank in consultation with the Operations and Credit Department
Qualification Required & Experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field, a Master's degree or professional accounting qualification (ICAG, ACCA, etc) is highly preferred • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role overseeing finance, accounting, budgeting and reporting, preferably with a rural and community bank • Strong understanding and working knowledge of banking operations, IFRS and Bank of Ghana regulations and directives and tax regulations • Proactive, highly analytical and high professional and personal integrity. • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly MS Excel • A working knowledge in a Core Banking software, preferably T24 Banking application
