As a Business Development & Planning Analyst, you will play a key role in delivering accurate, comprehensive reports and insights to support decision-making and identify growth opportunities. You will partner closely with commercial teams to optimize financial planning, pricing, and forecasting for our Smoke-Free Products category.


Your ‘day to day’

Commercial Strategy & Business Analysis


Support the translation of SFP Commercial Strategy into actionable financial and operational plans.
Conduct scenario analysis to assess volume growth opportunities, market share outlook, and pricing benefits.
Own the SFP pricing approval process and ensure accurate system updates.
Maintain and update the SFP Sensitivity Model to support sales forecasting.
Track and analyze commercial initiatives and trade programs related to SFP.


Philip Morris Group & Regional Reporting


Ensure timely monthly submission of PM Group and Regional SFP reports.
Prepare quarterly competitor analysis, tracking market trends, sales performance, product launches, and pricing strategies.


Financial Planning & Business Investment


Apply a data-driven approach to provide financial insights that drive consumer-centric and commercially sound decisions.
Support commercial teams in evaluating long-term SFP investment opportunities through detailed financial analysis.
Conduct ad hoc analysis to enhance return on investment.
Assist in developing cases for new product launches and pivotal initiatives.


Business Planning Cycle & Budgeting


Support the annual Long-Range Planning (LRP) strategy update and translate plans into financial projections.
Assist in coordinating the yearly budget cycle with SFP commercial functions and prepare review presentations for senior management.


What You’ll Need to Succeed


Strong understanding of consumer value propositions and commercial strategies.
Expertise in financial analysis, data storytelling, budgeting, and reporting (preferably in a multinational environment).
Experience in strategic business planning, scenario analysis, and investment decision-making.
Project management experience is an advantage.


Who we’re looking for


Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Management Accounting, or a related field.
Preference for candidates pursuing CIMA, CA(SA), ACCA, or relevant Honours/Postgraduate qualifications.
At least 3–5 years’ experience in Finance, Business Development, or Strategic Analytics within FMCG or pharmaceutical industry.
Solid experience in a Budget & Financial Reporting function is key


Critical Skills Required


Advanced Excel skills is essential
Strong PowerPoint proficiency.
Experience with NielsenIQ and PowerBI is advantageous.
Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and drive business insights.
