Maihi is a Taonga for our people, he has been my greatest Kaiako in te reo Māori hands down. Maihi is patient, encouraging and super knowledgeable in just about anything in te ao Māori and Te ao Pakeha than anyone I’ve ever met. I often refer to his teachings especially when it comes to reo Māori. He has given me confidence and ongoing support even to this day. He has also become a close friend that I can depend on.
