About the job:

We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and supporting our strategic financial goals.

Key Responsibilities:


Prepare and examine financial records, reports, and statements.
Manage accounts payable and receivable functions.
Reconcile bank statements and ledgers.
Process payroll and statutory deductions (e.g., tax, pension).
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Monitor budget implementation and expenditure control.
Ensure timely remittance of taxes and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Maintain an up-to-date asset register and depreciation schedule.
Provide financial insights to aid decision-making and strategy.
Support annual audits and liaise with auditors.
Implement and maintain internal controls and accounting procedures.


Qualifications & Experience:


Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Professional certification such as ICAN, ACCA, or CPA (an added advantage).
Minimum of 2 years proven work experience as an Accountant.
Strong knowledge of accounting standards and financial regulations.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Zoho, or Tally).
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools.
Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
High level of integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
