Duties and responsibilities


Ensuring Compliance with fire safety standards
Preparation of estimates related to fire installation
Inspection of building to assess fire hazards & risks
Supervision of installation fire equipment in the buildings
Repair and maintenance of fire equipment in public buildings, hospitals, conference centers
Conducting fire investigation & compiling reports


Requirements for Appointment


Served in the grade of Fire service inspector (Fire service) in the comparable & relevant position in the public service for at least three (3) years
Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Chemical engineering or equivalent and relevant qualification from a recognized institution
First Aid Certificate course lasting not less than one (1) week from St, John’s Ambulance or Kenya Institute of Highway and building Technology (KIBHT) or any other recognized institution
