The best thing about Prof. John BL Okullo being my academic supervisor for my Msc thesis tittled 'Genetic diversity and population structure of East Afrcan Sandalwood trees', He is down to earth. I enjoy listening to him sharing his own experience from how he rose up to when he was a PhD student in UK.
People say you can only do things that you enjoy, and whenever I talk to him, that’s exactly what I see. Besdes guding me on my research, he tells me about all those weekends he spent in the UK and his time when he was training in molecular Lab in France. His enthusiasm has really inspired me to work hard, not to give up and to find the joy in doing science. He is is a good researcher and supervisor.

Yes, it may take many hours, many months and years to get results, but the feeling at the end makes everything worth it.
