Our Client, Tried and trusted in the dynamic Logistics Industry is looking to hire dynamic, results-driven Grand handler to join our growing team. 

Responsibilities:


Confirm with the Ground Handler (GHA) that the Unit Load Device(ULD) are in place as per the Flight Booking List (FBL).
Supervise the build up of Cargo in the warehouse to ensure correct build up & labeling is done for the... shipment.
Ensure that the GHA has Scaled/weighed the cargo & that all the weight dockets are in place.
Ensure that the GHA has the weight dockets compiled through a flight weight statement & sent to the load control for flight planning.
Ensure timely towing of cargo to the flights bay & confirm that the pallet tags are properly labeled. 
Follow up on the shipment Export documents that must accompany the shipment & ensure that the GHA has received the documents for preparation of the Cargo export Manifest.
Supervise loading of the cargo into the aircraft & monitors any changes that may arise eg shipment offloads due to payload, trim, etc.
Notify the GHA & booking staff of any changes while loading for possible manifest amendments. 
Confirm that the GHA Cargo Manifest tallies with the final Aircraft manifest
Notify the GHA & booking staff on the departure of the aircraft for system closure.
Collect data with the GHA after every flight departure for replenishing of ULD’s.
Request for replenishment of ULD’s from hub office based on available data for the next incoming flight.
Gather Cargo manifest for filling & billing by the finance team.
Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor


Requirement:


Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Logistics, or a related field.
Previous experience in Air Freight and Air Port Services is very necessary
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in operations management, or supply chain roles.
Strong understanding of supply chain processes, warehouse operations, and transportation management.
Experience in managing a team and coordinating large-scale logistics operations.

Responsibilities

Respond to sales inquiries & concerns... by phone, electronically or in person.


Identify sales prospects and leads as well as maintaining good relationships with customers .
Pursue new business opportunities by developing new business sectors/routes.
Analyse the company\\\'s current sales performance and determine areas for growth and expansion.
Prepare monthly reports for the Directors by collecting and analyzing sales activity and data. Including monthly, quarterly and annual forecasts.
Maintain daily Sales activities records
Participate in sales and operations meetings
Conduct Market research to analyse client needs & preferences.
Develop and implement marketing strategies for the company that are in line with company objectives.
Perform a regular market research.
Identify the main industry competitors present options to enhance service to the clients.
Maintain current client relationship and identifying areas for potential new clients.
Creation and publication of marketing material in line with marketing plans.
Plan, develop and oversee the overall business development strategy
Negotiate for competitive rates with the airline
Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor
