We are looking for a dynamic, results-oriented individual to join our team as an Assistant Business Development Officer. This role is ideal for someone who is proactive, organized, and eager to grow in the insurance sector.


Key Responsibilities:


Engage prospective clients through phone and email communication
Facilitate quotation preparation, proposals, and negotiation of terms to... close sales
Follow up on quotations to increase conversion rates
Handover successfully closed business to underwriters for placement
Prepare risk notes for new business or as allocated
Respond to client inquiries and complaints in a timely and professional manner
Prepare for client and internal meetings as required
Keep the MD updated on new business progress
Escalate any critical or unresolved issues for action
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all interactions and business activity


Qualifications, Skills & Competencies:


Diploma or Degree in Insurance, Actuarial Science, or related field
At least 1–2 years’ experience in General Underwriting, preferably in an Insurance Brokerage.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Self-driven, with a proactive and client-centric attitude
Market awareness and ability to work independently and as part of a team
