Requirements


A minimum of a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting option) or Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) (Finance/ Accounting), from a reputable Institution/University.
An applicant with an understanding of the basic knowledge of accounting
Spreadsheet proficiency, Strong analytical, Timely, Ready to learn, Proper communication, and computer skills (Excel) are... important.
Knowledge of accounting software, preferably Xero/ QuickBooks /Odoo


Key Responsibilities


Ability to update accounts receivable, issue invoices, update accounts payable, and perform reconciliations.
Ensures all Audit paperwork is properly archived at the end of each Audit. Assists in the preparation of monthly bank and Mobile Money reconciliations
Ability to post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded Assists in issuing and receiving inventory, completing inventory journals, and reconciliation of Ledgers.
Assists the accountant in obtaining support documents and preparing analyses of accounts for audits.
Identifies internal controls that require improvement and suggests appropriate policy and procedure modifications for improved internal control.
Understand expense accounts and cost centers.
Ability to assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements, and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines. Ability to assist with other accounting projects as given by the accountant.
