Registration and Support for Fishify-Africa Agents

COMPENSATION AND PAYMENT TERMS


Laj Aquaculture shall compensate the Contractor for the development of the prototype as per the agreed terms and milestones.
The Contractor shall receive the Naira equivalent of $200 in four instalments, based on the successful completion of each milestone:

$250 upon completion of 1.1
$250 upon completion of 1.2
$250 upon completion of 1.3
$450 upon completion of 1.4


The Contractor must provide palpable industry best practice evidence for each milestone to proceed to the next and be eligible to receive the corresponding payment.
The agreed timeline for completion of all milestones is 10-14 days from the date of signing this Agreement.
Failure to meet this deadline will trigger the termination clause (Clause 6) and require the Contractor to refund 80% of the payment received so far to Laj Aquaculture, except for the administration fee.


TIMELINES AND DELIVERABLES


The development shall be completed within 6-8 weeks from the date of signing this Agreement.
The Contractor shall provide progress reports and updates at intervals agreed upon by both Parties.


INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY


All intellectual property rights in the developed platform shall be owned by Laj Aquaculture and Farmacology Nigeria Ltd upon completion and payment of the agreed compensation.
The Contractor shall not claim ownership or use the platform for any purpose outside the scope of this Agreement without prior written consent from Laj Aquaculture.


CONFIDENTIALITY & NONDISCLOSURE


The Parties agree to maintain the confidentiality of any proprietary or sensitive information exchanged during the course of this Project.
The Contractor shall not disclose any information related to the concept, structure, business model, or operations of Fishify Africa, nor the terms and conditions of this contract, to any third party without prior written consent from Laj Aquaculture.
This confidentiality and non-disclosure obligation shall survive the termination of this Agreement and shall remain in effect indefinitely.
Any breach of this confidentiality and non-disclosure clause shall result in legal action and financial compensation as deemed appropriate by Nigerian law.


TERMINATION



This Agreement may be terminated:


By mutual agreement of the Parties.
By Laj Aquaculture if the Contractor fails to meet agreed milestones or deliverables.
By the Contractor if Laj Aquaculture fails to provide necessary resources or payments.
In the event of termination, the Contractor shall be compensated for completed milestones, but any unfinished work shall remain the property of Laj Aquaculture.


DISPUTE RESOLUTION


Any disputes arising from this Agreement shall first be resolved amicably through negotiation.
If unresolved, disputes shall be referred to mediation or arbitration as per Nigerian law and by Upwork’s policy and terms where applicable.
Both Parties agree to abide by Upwork’s dispute resolution process for any matters related to work conducted through the Upwork platform.

Fishify is seeking proactive and highly organized Local Government Area (LGA) NURTW/Driver Liaison Partners to join our innovative fish supply chain platform. In this role, you will serve as the... critical link between local fish sellers, buyers, and transport providers within your designated Local Government Area. You will leverage your in-depth knowledge of local transportation networks and the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) to ensure the timely, secure, and efficient delivery of fish products from sellers to buyers. This is a commission-based opportunity with additional incentives, including a sign-on bonus and transaction-based bonuses, ideal for dynamic individuals with strong coordination skills and a passion for enhancing Nigeria’s fish industry.

Key Responsibilities


Local Order Coordination:


Designated Area Management: Oversee and manage all logistics operations within your assigned Local Government Area.
Receive and review orders placed through the Fishify platform for your LGA.
Verify order details and coordinate with local fish sellers and buyers to ensure accurate and timely order processing.
Liaise with local NURTW representatives to identify and secure reliable drivers available within the area.


Driver & Logistics Management:

Coordinate with local NURTW and affiliated drivers to ensure prompt and safe pick-up and delivery of various fish products, including live fish, processed fish, fingerlings, and juveniles.
Oversee the packaging process to ensure products are securely and appropriately packaged based on their type.
Confirm and schedule transportation within the LGA, maintaining clear communication with drivers to monitor progress and address any logistical challenges.


Local Communication & Reporting:

Act as the primary point of contact within your Local Government Area, bridging the gap between local transportation networks and the Fishify central office.
Provide timely updates and detailed reports on order status, delivery timelines, and any issues encountered during transit within your LGA.
Facilitate transparent communication among sellers, buyers, and drivers to ensure all parties are informed throughout the transaction process.

Working Hours & Breaks


Full-time Option: Standard working hours of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday (5 days a week).
Part-time Options:

1 day per week (8:00 AM to 5:00 PM).
Flexible working options are negotiable, with hours adjusted according to company needs.


Breaks: Employees are allowed breaks for religious activities during the workday, integrated as part of the overall working schedule, as per the company’s policy. Break times will be mutually agreed upon with the managing director to ensure continuity of operations.


Overtime Policy


No payment will be made for overtime unless it has been prior approved and authorised by the line manager and CEO. Any overtime worked without this authorisation will not be compensated.


Salary

The salary will be benchmarked against the current minimum wage in Nigeria (NGN 70,000), with a 25% managerial allowance added for the Accountant & HR Manager role.

Current Minimum Wage Benchmark: NGN 70,000 monthly

Managerial Allowance: 25% of the minimum wage, totalling NGN 17,500

Total Monthly Salary: NGN 87,500 (for full-time)

Part-time roles will be paid pro-rata, with salaries adjusted according to the reduced working hours.
