Position Overview

The Senior Associate (SA) will be responsible for client management including strategy support, production of client deliverables and monitoring and analyzing PR issues. He/She will identify and oversee business development by overseeing and providing input on the production of decks and materials to present to potential clients.
As a thought leader, the SA will develop the... editorial calendar for their sector and write pieces/content for publication. The SA will be responsible for providing intelligence and analysis on market developments. The SA will build and maintain a current network of contacts in the government, business, civil society and among other key stakeholders.
This position will be based in the CMC Connect LLP office in Lagos & Abuja respectively, and will report to the Associate Partner, Lagos and Abuja Operations.

What you will be doing:

Support the growth and development of new business and expansion of CMC Connect LLP through the successful understanding, drafting and execution of RFPs
Serve as strategic partner to our clients, identifying and flagging challenges and opportunities and providing relevant council
Work with team in Lagos on proposals, deliverables and produce results in a timely manner.
Produce client deliverables and see full execution from start to finish
Support thought leadership in Lagos and Abuja offices.
In partnership with team, prepare materials for meetings, events or other clients/stakeholders/media engagement activities;
Provide day to day support for clients, including regular meetings, calls and briefings
Train and onboard junior and mid-level team as the team expands
Liaise with Associate Partner on the managing of roll-outs and all plans and assets for CMC Connect LLP and clients
Identify relevant market and policy trends and pitch new business opportunities
Oversee client budget management and forecasting, proactively address scope and delays in client invoice payment with CMC Connect LLP Abuja leadership
Build relationships with Lagos and Abuja team to leverage and monetize the full suite of resources
Track progress and report back results to Associate Partner based on agreed-upon metrics and achievement of business goals
Manage and monitor the client relationship with the Abuja team

What You Will Need

At least 5-7 years of experience in government, NGO or private firm leading work related to relevant service offerings.
Forward thinker, ability to work in rapidly changing PR landscape and think/program across a variety of platforms, channels and audiences
Comprehensive understanding and experience in PR business. Maintains an intimate understanding of the client’s business, priorities and competitive landscape
Strong communication and interpersonal skills – a positive approach with a self-starter attitude
Stays knowledgeable about markets and sectors of PR business and stakeholders
Excellent writing and PowerPoint skills
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple assignments simultaneously
Proactive approach, a willingness to take initiative and support the full team to drive business growth and results and anticipates what’s next to get ahead of issues and capitalize on new opportunities
Ability to work effectively with dynamic teams and across offices
