Training Responsibilities

Design and improve new training courses and modules in expertise areas;
Apply appropriate training approaches to facilitate high quality training sessions;
Design and improve the training materials, tools and training methods;
Advice on content and process arrangements needed to optimize quality delivery of the training;
Keep track of the participant’s learning... curve during the training; 
Provide post training support to the participants;
Develop proposals to acquire new training assignments.

Minimum Educational Qualifications and Professional Experience

Master’s degree or higher qualification in Agriculture, Agronomy, Agribusiness Management, Agricultural Economics, Agricultural Development or any other related degree;
At least 5 years of proven professional experience in any technical programming areas of rural development, integrated resource management, market studies and value chain analysis;
In-depth knowledge of the agribusiness sector;
Working knowledge of agricultural policy environment; 
Demonstrated success integrating youth, women and/or other vulnerable groups in funded programs;
Experience with agriculture donor-funded projects, project implementation, monitoring and evaluation preferred;
Knowledge on qualitative and quantitative research measurement tools preferred;
Advanced skills in MS office applications, in particular Excel and PowerPoint;
Proven experience in carrying out consultancy assignments and facilitating training in the expertise areas mentioned above;
Familiar with learner-centered training methods and participatory training techniques;
High level of enthusiasm and confidence in interaction with diverse groups of people (various ages, backgrounds, nationalities);
Experience with the development sector (NGOs), Government Institutions, financial sector or research institutions. more

Excellent report writing skills and experience in producing high-quality reports on outcomes of qualitative analysis;
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot tables, Dashboards, Power pivots, advanced excel formulas, conditional formatting);
Advanced skills in MS office applications, in particular, Excel and PowerPoint;
Proven experience in carrying out consultancy assignments and facilitating training in the expertise areas mentioned above;

Specific Roles and Responsibilities

Develop the training program in consultation with the participants
Design and develop the training materials, tools, and the appropriate methods
Advice in advance on specific content and process arrangements needed to optimize quality delivery
Apply the appropriate training approaches to facilitate the training as per the agreed training program

Provide technical support in other relevant consultancy assignments

Required Skills and Experience

Master’s Degree or higher qualification in M&E, Project Management, Statistics, or another related discipline
Experience in project design and implementation using various M&E tools
Robust skill in M&E approaches including but not limited to RBM, LFA, and participatory approaches
Understanding of project monitoring strategies
Demonstrated experience in the development and implementation of M&E systems
Experience designing and conducting project evaluations
Robust skills in the design of data collection instruments for use in M&E
Quantitative and qualitative data analysis skills
Experience in employing adult learning and participatory training techniques

Qualifications and Professional Experience

Master’s degree or higher qualification in, Economics, Finance, Banking, Mathematics, Business or any other related degree;
Possession of Professional Qualifications in Payment Systems;
Concrete experience in Payment Systems (Low and Large Value) at the National level with the Central Bank of Kenya or regional Central Banks both EAC and COMESA;
Skilled in Financial Inclusion, Fintech analysis, Emerging disruptive technologies (CBDC and Crypto-Assets) analysis;
Vast knowledge and understanding of the Central Bank functions;
At least 5 years of proven work experience Banking Operations and Payment Systems, Financial Services, Economics, Accounting or similar operations;
Clear understanding of the national payments systems policy and regulatory framework as well as internationally accepted best practices for effective payments systems’ oversight;
Knowledge on payment systems policy formulation and analysis;
Sound knowledge of on-site and off-site surveillance of payment systems;
Advanced skills in MS office applications, in particular Excel and PowerPoint;
Proven experience in carrying out consultancy assignments and facilitating training in the expertise areas mentioned above;
