Corporate Africa is seeking a Publisher Manager to supervise and oversee its Projects, which includes supporting editors and sales executives, generate and research leads (companies), and inputting second voices into pitches.
Also working with editors to carry out editorial agendas and to update social media and postings and act as a focal point of authority at all times.
Other competencies... required are project management and cross-functional leadership experience.
The successful candidate will also have excellent communication skills in the English language, firsthand experience of professional sales and marketing, and experience of sales management.
A degree in marketing, research, publishing, or sales management is also essential with some research skills.

Business editor reports to the Senior Editor and is responsible for generating content to prepare, design, and produce quality print and digital magazines.

Duties and responsibilities includes:

Carrying out research to identify good prospects to contribute editorial content for titles
Commission editorials and conduct interviews to develop content for magazines
Create and maintain... databases to store personal details of contributions, updates about editorials and progress being made
Visit trade fairs, exhibitions, and conferences to network, conduct interviews and generate prospects to contribute content
Manage social media content, postings, and updating new images and information about new projects
Preparing monthly newsletters and managing e-shots and building distribution databases
Prepare Investors Brief a quarterly feature in magazine
Oversee preparation of advertisers booking forms orders and agreements and the preparation of invoices (
Participate in all weekly editorial meetings
Support management with any other duties considered relevant
You are required to possess both excellent verbal and written command of the English language, and also minimum typing speed of 50 words per minute.
Also experience of Microsoft Office especially Word and Excel are fundamental. Spoken French or Portuguese would also be an asset but is not compulsory.

The successful candidates will have experience in tele-sales, sales negotiation skills, good English grammar, which is required to write proposal; and very clearly spoken English of international standard. Successful candidates are likely to be team players and highly motivated; very confident, ambitious and target driven in order to achieve the goals of the job. 
Duties and responsibilities... include contacting prospects from across Africa, Europe, Asia and North and South America on social media, or by email then engaging in conversations by telephone to promote Corporate Africa projects, then sending out proposals to participate. You are also required to generate and research leads on social media, visits to conferences and exhibitions, or through other media and maintain an up to date database of leads approved by the company.
During the first three months probation period you will be trained to carry out the all aspects of the job including how to motivate and close clients. After the probation period there will be a salary increase and ongoing training will take place until Advertising Project Manager status has been attained usually within the first year.
The Salary range is 30,000 to 50,000 Kenyan shillings plus 5 to 10 percent commission on sales.
