The safety officer is expected monitor health and safety, assess risk, and design strategies to reduce potential hazards within an assigned workplace or geographic area. They are expected to be able to conform to the safety requirements of the pipeline construction execution and they are expected to ensure that all facets of HSE is enforced on the site locations.

Monitor Health and Safety

HSE officers monitor incidents of injury, illness, and other situations within an assigned geographic area.


Create Reports

HSE officers write reports detailing health and safety within their assigned research market.


Develop Strategies

HSE officers design strategies to reduce incidents of illness, environmental accidents, and other issues that may affect public safety.


Investigate

HSE officers go into the field to investigate environmental accidents and other public safety concerns within their market. They may also assign team members to investigate reported incidents.


Design Training Programs

HSE officers design training programs to provide safety awareness education.


Give Presentations

HSE officers give presentations about current safety hazards based on market research to educate others about avoiding health, safety, and environmental hazards.


Train/Induction Crew Members

HSE officers train new HSE crew members and provide site inductions for all members.


Perform Risk Assessments

HSE officers assess risks associated with tools and equipment, jobsites, and work environments within their assigned research market.


Preparation and submission of Permit to Work

HSE officers prepare the PTW form and submit to the relevant persons for PTW approval and allowance for work commencement in the site.

We seek to hire a Project Engineer, with experience in oil & gas construction (pipeline), who will be responsible for guaranteeing that the project meets the specifications, budget, and schedule agreed with the client and contractor. Experience in horizontal directional drilling (HDD) is a plus and a background in AutoCAD is an asset.
Responsibilities:

Preparing, reviewing design drawings,... calculations, and specifications; 
Preparing and updating project schedules, budgets, and risk assessments; 
Coordinating and communicating with the project team, subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders; 
Supervising and inspecting the site work and resolving any issues or problems; 
Conducting quality control tests and audits to ensure compliance with codes and standards, as well as preparing and submitting progress reports.

Requirements:

Bachelor degree in engineering, preferably in a relevant field such as , mechanical, or metallurgical  engineering.
3 - 5 years experience in Pipeline construction and installation, Facilities construction and installation.
Experience with AutoCAD, Primevera, Microsoft Projects, strongly recommended.
Possess technical knowledge and skills in engineering principles, methods, and tools, as well as project management skills.

Responsibilities of a Pipeline Construction Supervisor:

To provide technical assistance and coordination accordingly to the project requirements
Must be conversant with the pipeline installation procedures and implementation of them (Resource management, welding, managing work schedule, and all pipeline integrity test) Making sure all procedures align with the work scope and schedule.
Ensure... that all work fronts are in order with level 3 schedule.
Undertake regular site works, support work quality and delivery, intervene as appropriate to ensure that all work activities progress in line with the project schedule. 
Monitor progress and prepare performance reports.
Identify and analyze the weak points which penalize productivity and propose corrective measures.
Analyze and forecast performance and manpower requirements based on physical progress relative to schedule.
Liaise with the Project Director to make sure that all interfaces are managed effectively.
